Adobe Acrobat has had an E-Signature feature for a while. Additionally, there is another super Salesforce AppExchange vendor, Sertifi (http://www.sertifi.com) whose product allows not only E-Signatures, but also faxed signature pages, scanned and filed in Salesforce. (Disclosure: Sertifi is one of my former-company's partners.) The E-Signature market is growing as document management companies are adding the capability to their existing products; hopefully the days of printing and scanning signature pages are all-but over!
