I want Evernote. (correction)

Apologies to the readers of The Salesforce Times! In my great excitement regarding the form and function of stylish new app Evernote, I got a few wires crossed while reading six or seven things at once and trying to absorb more information that was probably wise. Evernote was not in fact developed by any Salesforce related individuals, but rather what I meant to get across was that as an App for collaboration (the theme of Dreamforce Europe ‘08) it was in my opinion pretty much the bees knees of news ideas. Sorry for the mixup and thanks to Mark in comments for snapping my attention to my enthusiastic blunder.

Evernote by, well, Evernote Corporation is a nifty little web application that allows a potential user to just copy chunks off the web or upload photographs from a phone or other mobile device and store it for later in what appears to be a highly intelligent organizer, intelligent because it actually looks in to images and reads the text straight out of the picture, even handwriting.
As an individual who could likely bludgeon an entire endagered species out of existance with just the notebooks he has stored around his home, I can see this application as having a very real impact on the way I deal with the information and ideas that I produce, so that really brings it home for me.
I’m honestly still wrapping my head around the business uses, suffice it to say I’m sure it won’t be a short list.
The post that put me on to Evernote is here and Evernote’s overview page is here.

Got something to say?

I’m confused — are you saying that Evernote was developed by Salesforce and/or Salesforce developers? I browsed around the Evernote web site and didn’t see any connection. This is a really cool product though!
