Blog Watch: Salesforce to Sell to Oracle?

The wildfire of conjecture continues to spread via the blogosphere today.
If you haven’t heard yet, a rumor was started this weekend about the possible sale of Salesforce to Oracle.

Here’s what the blogosphere had to say:

Salesforce.com For Sale?
Silicon Valley Watcher reports of rumours that Salesforce is trying to pitch itself to Oracle for $9 B. That’s about $75 a share. Considering that Oracle’s CEO, Larry Ellison, has a 74.1% stake in Netsuite; this is actually a pretty interesting rumour. This would signify a huge consolidation of the two largest on-demand vendors.

    how horrible would that be! I’m not sure I would want to be part of the Saleforce if they sold out!

    I hope they don’t sell out for a while myself. It tends to change the perception of a company..especially one with such a loyal user community and following.
